Jedermann Topcat Regatta: Sailing tradition returns to Seeham
On October 3rd and 4th, Lake Obertrum will become the stage for competitive sailing: with the “Jedermann Topcat Regatta,” the Seeham Sailing Club is reviving a long-standing event — this time under a new banner and with TOPCAT catamarans at its center.
For many years, the regatta in Seeham was a fixed date on the club’s calendar as a windsurfing regatta. Now this tradition is being revived and transferred to sailing. For two days, sporting competition, tactical skill, and above all a shared enthusiasm for watersports will take center stage.

The regatta’s name also builds a small bridge to Salzburg culture: just a few meters from the sailing club lies the Seeham lakeside stage (Seebühne). There, on the evening of August 22nd, “Jedermann” (Everyman) is also on the program — though not under sail, but on stage. Under the title “Jedermann von 1920 bis heute!” (“Everyman from 1920 to today!”), the Konzert Ensemble 013 and Johannes Silberschneider present their take on this famous classic.
So on this August weekend in Seeham, sporting tradition and a piece of Salzburg culture come together. At the heart of it all, however, remains what brings this event back to Lake Obertrum: competitive sailing, community, and the joy of sailing.
